My Not Just Poodles experience started with volunteering prior to going to university. I have now graduated with a BSc Zoology degree and have returned to Not Just Poodles as a trainee dog groomer. Although not my original pathway, I have found my vocation-which was right where I started! I love working with all the different breeds and getting to know their characters, whilst being supported by a friendly team

My name is Kim. I have been a dog groomer for over ten years. Whether your dog is young, old or somewhere in between, has challenging behaviour, requires understanding or just needs a reassuring cuddle I enjoy working with them all. I believe being deaf gives me an advantage as reading body language and non verbal clues comes naturally to me.

I groomed our first dog back in September 2008 and have never looked back. I’m very grateful to be working with such wonderful caring staff, customers and four legged friends.

I’ve been at Not Just Poodles since completing my work experience here in 2014. I love working with a variety of animals and while here I have had the opportunity to complete my Animal Behaviour degree. Each day is different with great pets and people.

MAUREEN
My name is Maureen, I have volunteered at Not Just Poodles for around 9 years. I work on reception, answering the telephone and making appointments, as well as greeting all the dogs and cats that visit. I enjoy working with an excellent, friendly and professional team

Since joining Not Just Poodles in 2024 I’ve really enjoyed being part of the team. It’s an absolute pleasure meeting the owners and caring for the dogs daily and I’ll be doing further training at plumpton college this year.
